ONE CONCERN CAN INVOLVE MORE THAN ONE AREA
Which Facial Procedure Should I Explore?
The most useful starting page depends on the structure creating the concern. Eyelid skin or bags, brow position, facial volume, cheek or lower-face descent, and neck anatomy are related—but they are not interchangeable.
Use the six routes above to understand the main decisions. During consultation, Dr. Howarth evaluates the complete face and neck before recommending a focused procedure, a coordinated plan, observation, or no treatment.
For etched lines, sun damage, texture, and other skin-surface concerns, explore physician-performed laser skin resurfacing. Dr. Howarth evaluates skin quality separately from tissue descent, eyelid anatomy, and facial volume.

SURGEON-LED FACIAL PLANNING
Why Choose Ashley Howarth, MD, FACS, for Facial Plastic Surgery?
Choosing a facial plastic surgeon involves more than matching a concern to a procedure name. Look for appropriate board certification, experience evaluating the face and neck as a whole, balanced counseling about alternatives and limitations, and a clear plan for follow-up and complications.
Ashley Howarth, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Scottsdale, an Instructor in Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Her background includes nine years of formal surgical training.
She evaluates eyelid and brow anatomy, facial structure, volume, tissue position, skin, movement, jawline, neck, prior treatment, and the relationship among these areas before recommending a plan. Your consultation should leave you understanding what may reasonably change, which tradeoffs matter, and why a focused, combined, staged, or nonsurgical approach may fit.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Facial Plastic Surgery FAQs
You do not need to choose a procedure before consultation. Dr. Howarth evaluates the eyelids, brow, facial volume, tissue position, jawline, neck, skin, movement, prior treatment, concerns, and goals before recommending a useful starting point.
Eyelid surgery addresses selected upper- or lower-eyelid tissues. A brow lift changes brow and forehead position. Because brow position can influence the upper eyelids, both areas are evaluated before either operation is recommended.
A facelift focuses on selected facial tissues and the lower-face relationship, while a neck lift centers on neck and jawline anatomy. Some patients have a clearly neck-first concern; others benefit from coordinated face-and-neck planning.
Not when tissue descent is the primary concern. Fat grafting adds selected volume, while a facelift repositions selected tissue. Either, both, or neither may fit depending on the anatomy and goal.
Sometimes. A combined plan may be appropriate for selected concerns, while staging may better fit scope, recovery, health considerations, or priorities. Dr. Howarth recommends the sequence after consultation and examination.
Pricing depends on the procedure, scope, anesthesia, care setting, complexity, and whether procedures are focused, combined, or staged. Howarth Plastic Surgery is a cash-pay practice and does not accept or bill insurance. Third-party financing may be available subject to approval.
An initial consultation may be available virtually. An in-person examination is required before an operative plan is finalized, and the care team will explain the required timing for surgery and follow-up.
Request a consultation and describe what you notice rather than trying to select an operation. Your patient care coordinator can help organize the appointment, and Dr. Howarth will evaluate which decision—if any—fits your anatomy and goals.
